Medallion Press announces partnership with nonprofit Triple Threat Mentoring!

St.Charles, Illinois—March 20, 2009—Medallion Press, Inc., is proud to announce a partnership with Triple Threat Mentoring, a nonprofit organization working with urban under-resourced youth in east Aurora, Illinois.
Under this new partnership, Medallion Press and Triple Threat Mentoring are raising awareness and helping serve at-risk urban youth by encouraging them to pursue their goals and live out their potential through opportunities strategically programmed in the areas of academics, athletics, and arts.
Since its inception in fall 2007, Triple Threat Mentoring has empowered 1500 elementary students through different programs and events. Medallion Press is proud to be able to support these academic programs by raising awareness for literacy and believes that through these programs and this support, Triple Threat offers to children who once felt little hope the opportunity to dream of big futures.
Medallion Press encourages its staff members to take part and volunteer. Through the volunteer program, staff members get firsthand experience and awareness of the effect Triple Threat has on children’s lives, as well as an opportunity to give back to local communities. Triple Threat’s volunteers are mentors for kids, and they serve as positive role models while offering guidance and accountability to help youth reach personal goals within the context of the program.
Known for beautiful cover design, Medallion Press supports the art program as well. A new addition to the Triple Threat arts program will be a fundamental art class taught by Medallion Press graphic designer Arturo Delgado. This class will give the children a basic understanding of how to create art, learning the basic techniques of drawing and painting. This will be a great addition to the arts program and will give kids a creative outlet through which to express themselves.
Partnering with Triple Threat Mentoring provides a valuable opportunity for Medallion Press to make a difference in the local community. They join the ever-growing list of sponsors, which includes Nike, Powerbar, Target, and Wilson Sporting Goods, who also believe in raising awareness and offering underprivileged kids opportunities to live up to their potential. Each sponsor takes the message of empowerment to heart, and it clearly shows in the smiles of the kids in the Triple Threat family.
